Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Ira,
I'm not one to pry, but since you didn't burn it up, is it still in the smoker?
If it is you can build a small fire underneath to chase it out.
But it would be less hassle in the long run to call animal control.

I'm sure he left during the night, so I didn't even check the next morning.

I have a really good CO2 pistol, but again, I'm not the type to really kill anything--for food or NOT for food.
Here we go again!

POSSIUM

Postby MOKI SEAKER » Mon Nov 20, 2006 2:38 pm

Ira, I didn't notice a little cap on that guy, so I don't think you could eat it anyway, not kosher. Jim G

proper way to cook possum

Postby kerry » Mon Nov 20, 2006 6:57 pm

Take 1 possum, skin him, stuff him up with apples, celery, onions, garlic, stale bread, parsley and sage. Bake in a slow oven at 325 for a couple hours, or until the juices run clear. After that take him out and remove the stuffing, throw the possum away and eat the stuffing....ummmm..enjoy..

Legal weapon

Postby Lesbest » Tue Nov 21, 2006 6:18 pm

Here in Ohio the ONLY legal weapons for killing possoms, (possomi ?), opposum is a car or a shovel. Anything else is way to soficated, sofficated, fancy! The big question is how do you know when he quits playing? (dead) and really is? Some of the recipes look good but I have a real recipe in an old Betty Crocker cook book if anyone is interested.
