I remember driving across the country, east to west one time and was amazed at all of the "where the west begins" signs.

They began way way back east, as we say it here. Didn't Danl Boone live in the far west?

Funny how Florida is it's own region. Even when I lived there I say, even though Florida is in the South, it isn't the "South". The people down there "tawk" funny.

I'm from El Paso, Texas and I don't consider myself south central at all. Most of us here don't really think of ourselves as Texans as we as so far out West. I fell closer to New Mexico, Arizona and Southern California. Even our mannerisms, dress and talk are different. Try to wear a cowboy hat (except if your're from Mexico) in this town!

Oh, the hat in my avatar isn't a cowboy hat! :thinking:
