You and I and thousands like us did our job, we never questioned it and we did our duty. Support our troops in every way and if you don't agree with their mission, don't blame them - blame your Congressman and then do something about it.

No matter how we have been treated I am still proud to be an American.
I did my duty to defend this country. Those that burned there draft cards and ran away will always be cowards’ and even though they are Americans. Now mater how they justify it, they still ran away from their country as coward’s.

Thanks Sierrajack for that video.

my son is in the Army and spent 14 months in Iraq. He just returned to Germany in feb, and I am hoping and praying he gets out of the Army this summer. He may be "stop-lossed" and kept in for another tour. I think if he was still there I would have had a much bigger cry watching that video. The last few weeks of my son's deployment were the hardest for me.

One of his platoon mates was killed by a bomb on his absolute last day to be in Iraq, while training his replacement. The replacement (18 y.o. I think)was also killed.

It was a good reminder for me of all the other moms/others who are waiting anxiously to hear from their loved ones over there. i also think of the Iraqi moms who send their kids off to school or the market and hope they come home again.
A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour!
