I found it funny how the guy who gave the blessing at the potluck was over there corrupting the youth with a game of "Shut The Box" right after dinner. We have a version of the same game called Canoga.

We usually keep a poker set in the trailer (2 decks and 500 chips) and also a Phase-10 deck. After a week of doing nothing but play UNO, I refuse to play UNO anymore.

Rocky,

Jon started out playing Shut the Box with a quarter and ended up with $2.75 by the time he came back to the teardrop. :)

The version Jon taught me with a deck of cards was played without $$$...It all went to fixing the transmission.

Hmmm...as good as Jon is at playing, maybe we should have had him play the repair guy for our transmission!

Sorry this is so late, I finally got around to putting my pics onto the computer. One drawback to having large memory cards is that you don't have to clear them out. I still have IRG pics on one of them! I didn't take many pics from ITG which surprised me.

Anyway, here is the infamous "Shut The Box" game in action. You can't see the bets in this pic, the resolution was reduced to protect the innocent. But I can see them in my high res pics.

Thanks Rocky! But the bets aren't the only thing you can't see...Jon is in the picture but behind Thomas, so all you can see of him is his hair, an eyebrow and two forearms...Of course, when you are the winner, you want to keep a low profile...especially from the tax man.
