prayers

Oh Danny, I hate to hear about your shoulder. Know that you will be in our prayers Danny. Keep us posted on you progress. just think. ;) you will be out cold for the proceedure...... I cant even imagine :? :shock: what that would feel like being awake.......... I know I would be passed out two seconds later....... :thumbsup: hang in there

Hopefully it'll work well for you Danny.

Not the same at all but our D.I.L. had a partial knee replacement 'bout 3mos ago & thru either poor PT (not fault of therapist) regimen or lack of proper exercise between PT sessions, she developed lots of scar tissue around the prosthesis, that was severely limiting her movement in addition to considerable pain. On Wed Sep 12 she went in for knee 'manipulation' under anesthesia. Woke up to more pain but has since progressed remarkably & has much more freedom of movement (she can actually bring her heel up to touch the back of her thigh now.

Hang in there & do what the Doc says :thumbsup:

Thanks everyone for the kind and encouraging wishes. It's great that something can be done. I think I scared off my friend who was mowing my lawn this Summer. He needs the same surgery (surfs twice a week) and now says he will put up with the pain. If this works for me hopefully I'll be mowing his lawn next Summer while he is recovering. :D Danny

Art, a couple of weeks ago I had to unload and stack 50 40# bags of wood pellets for the shop and I was okay but tried to carry a Dutch Oven at the TCT Rally in Deming and it was very uncomfortable. They sure do get heavy with all that food, but oh so delicious. :D Danny

Sorry to hear about . . . wait a second--When the doctor said you needed PT, you didn't mistake that for Polishing Teardrop did you? Hmmm . . . seems like too much of a coincidence considering the pictures you've been showing us. :thinking:

Seriously, hope it isn't as painful a procedure as it sounds, and if it is, I hope they prescribe good drugs. I hope you get back in pain free action soon.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Tony, my Physical Therapist said the polishing would be good for me,"wax on wax off" but apparently not enough to break up all the adhesion's/scar tissue. I've got bottles of meds but must be conservative in their use. Meds/drugs and me don't mix too well. One dose will linger on for over 12 hours sometimes and I don't like that sleepy feeling, so only use when I really have no choice. Ibuprofen works best. Thanks guys, :) Danny

The surgery procedure went as planned and my range of motion is greatly improved. Went to PT Thursday, Friday and did some at home Saturday. Woke up to this Sunday morning...

I emailed the surgeon and he thinks it looks like a partial or fully torn biceps tendon, gotta go see him. I understand I can function without the bicep tendon and I knew it was a possibility, just need to get the pain managed. Danny
