She was the victim of a serial rapist and has been going through the trial process for well over a year now. Please remember to support him in his walk. It was so nice for us to have a crisis line available for us when we made that first phone call. Lets make sure that help is there for others in an emergency like this.
Thank you Rick, this means a lot to us.

Thank you and Beth for your courage :worship:  :applause:

Beth a Image and prayers for you and your daughter. Our trial system for rape victims is down right barbaric. Tell her we are with her in spirit.

Those are some pretty hot shoes!

I'll be thinking of you on Sunday! Good luck!

walk a mile in her shoes

Postby kayaklover » Thu Apr 24, 2008 8:40 pm

Rick,
Those sure are some pretty shoes you got there. It makes me smile just thinking of you shopping for those lovely size 13W. I bet you really got the looks ( and a couple phone numbers from the transgender crowd ). Are you sure you don't slip them on , on a sat. night .......just for fun.

Really Rick, thanks again for walking for my daughter Beth and the other victims out there both male and female. While Beth was getting interviewed after her assault , there was a mom there with a 6 year old little boy. He was so sweet and it made me cry thinking that anybody could ever harm such a nice little boy and that another mother was as broken hearted as I was.
What you are doing helps heal those broken hearts.
Thank you,
Lori

The Star Thrower

Once upon a time, a wise man walked along the shore and as he looked down the beach, he saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself to think of someone who would dance to the day, so he began to walk faster to catch up. As he got closer, he saw that it was a young man and the young man wasn't dancing, but instead, he was reaching down to the shore, picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean.

As he got closer he called out, "Good morning! What are you doing?" The young man paused, looked up and replied, "Throwing Starfish into the ocean."

"I guess I should have asked; why are you throwing Starfish into the ocean?"

"The sun is up and the tide is going out and if I don't throw them in they'll die."

"But young man, don't you realize that there are miles and miles of beach and Starfish all along it, you can't possibly make a difference!"

The young man listened politely, then bent down, picked up another Starfish and threw it into the sea, past the breaking waves. "It made a difference for that one."
