Any classic Mopar guys or gals here?

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

I really appreciate that Doug. The more eyes the merrier. This is one big nation to cover. I am really glad for the help.
I know they are hard to find. With my luck, there is a junkyard somewhere that very few people have even seen that probably has a hundred of them. :(

Drive what I drive 'cause Mopar's the oil my busted knuckles bleed, workin' on my 318s...

Been driving Mopars, with one exception (lasted from March to July) all my life. By choice, they're the 5.2 small-block (Magnum works) 318 and they're in a truck -- I don't much care if it's a Ram or a Ramcharger -- but I'm half-hunting a slant six these days, for the sake of the gas mileage.

That wide valve-cover in your pic, sixpar, is a dead giveaway. Good on ya.

I am searching for a stock factory four barrel intake manifold for the 318 Poly engine. Some call it the old style, the wide block, or the semi hemi. The intake was an optional equipment on late 50s to early 60s 318 Poly engines. I know there are some out there, just have to find them.
I would appreciate any info you can give me.

Thanks. :D

Dooner -- there's some big-block 318 (poly head) vehicles at a gigantic salvage yard outside Ft Worth -- they used to run back-cover ads in the Mopar mag that wasn't called Mopar Action. (Can't remember what it was called, only bought about three or four, haven't seen 'em in the last year or so.) I think it was called Texas Acres, and they may still have a web site.
Their specialty is E-body stuff, but if you could find a '67 or back Satellite or similar car there, they might have what you're looking for. Just for my curiosity, would the 4-bbl intake off a 383 fit the engine you have?

Thanks, but I already tried them. As of 4/17, they are all sold out. There has to be an out of the way salvage yard, that hardly anyone knows about, and they probably have hundreds of them.

The bad thing is, that the only intake that will fit the wide block 318 Poly, is made only for that engine. No other engine will interchange. And it will be '65 and earlier. I do believe that the four barrel intake was more common from about '56 to '62.

I can't believe aftermarket vendors don't make them. But I guess that's the price of being different. 8)

Check your lineage it was ADOPTED

Had a 59 Willys a 74 cherokee (the big one) an 84 grand wagoneer ( the big one) and still have a 90 (you quessed it one of the last big ones) Got a ton of money in the 90 and about $5,000 to go. Needs paint and a headliner and she will be primo. Have sunk $9,000 initial purchase and complete engine trans and transfer rebuilds. Brakes all around fuel pump new carb and she runs great but the MPG's suck something is still wrong.
Oh well what can you expect from an orphan.

Hey

Technically means to have possible exceptions! LOL
Well I guess we're both right since it was adopted; but it does have the pretty little Mopar snowflake or whatever it's called "Badge of Honor"!

Try Offenhauser. I'm sure nobody stocks their polysphere manifolds any more, but contact them directly and they will cast one of any manifold they ever made, including an inline dual quad setup for your polysphere.
