:( Doug, I am truly, truly saddened to hear this news. My heart goes out to you.

Having been fortunate to have known Daisy, I will say she was a very special dog, one in a million. She'll be sorely missed.

Doug: Mike and I were very sorry to hear about Daisy. She was a very special dog. I remember taking her for a walk at the Redwood Gathering. She was a sweetheart compared to Buddy. Buddy always takes me for a walk. Daisy liked to walk around and really seemed to enjoy everything and everybody. We will miss her very much. Mike, Nancy and Buddy

Doug, I am one who never met Daisy, but every four legged friend that I have had has always been my best friends. I just lost a human friend this last Wednesday and I am feeling you loss as well as mine.
GOD will watch over both of them.

Bro, I'm truly saddened to hear your loss, I know when the time for Mollie comes, I will be devestated. Though, I never had the chance to pet her, I'm sure you gave her a wonderful life. My thoughts are with you.

Wow Doug that has to be tough loosing your companion. Special pets like your Daisey are hard to forget and you will find peace in thinking of her as time goes on. I still think of my Darby Dog at times, he was my pal many years ago. He would watch me work in the shop and wait for me to quit for the evening so we could have several minutes to share together, what a friend he was. :D Danny

Doug,
I am truly sorry about Daisy. Meeting her and petting her was one of the things I really looked forward to when I knew you two were going to be at a gathering. She was a real sweetheart. RIP Daisy girl!

A Tribute to Daisy

By Steve for Doug
May 16th 2008

Your were my loyal flower of Love
Where circumstance made no mind
While living with you come what may
Brought understanding without a say

You watched me build my Teardrops
You shared and rode along my way
We had years of companion trail hops
With joys and smiles above the fray

My heart will hold to you forever
My Loving lady at peace today
I yet still sense with all endeavors
A joyous reunion, I do pray

You watched me build my Teardrops
You shared and rode along my way
We had years of companion trail hops
With joys and smiles above the fray

Doug--
Daisy was truly an amazing friend and companion. We are all feeling your loss. I can only hope Abby can be as good of a camper as Daisy. We'll miss her guarding your teardrops from a vantage point she always seemed to have.

Thank you all for the kind words and condolences. I genuinely appreciate them all. It's the first time for me to go through losing a pet so it's lot of new turf for me. Doug

Doug I'm so sorry about Daisy.

I've had you on my mind all day and evening. so many of us are lucky to have known her, she was a gem among dogs, so good tempered and sweet and such great body language. I'm lucky enough to have her in my avatar!!
