Oklahoma weather, again.

Grani, she did!! It really is funny now but it wasn't for the first day or two. My mom and dad live about 2 houses down, across the road (out in the country) from Chelle and we were all sitting around talking about it a couple of days later when dad walks in and hands Chelle a $10.00 bill. She asked daddy what it was for and he said "somebody in town stopped him and said to thank Chelly-Belle for the great ta-ta show". Well, we had the best laugh. My dad kept warning her about not getting dressed when there is bad weather...she listens now.

But this is the best part...the couple who lived next door, Mr. Shorty and Mrs. Doris heard the tornado and he ran out when it destroyed her trailer. Mr. Shorty (called that for obvious reasons) saw Rachelle standing in the middle of the yard crying not knowing what to do (and without a shirt on), and he told Mrs. Doris to go get a towel...such as "large bath towel". Well, she comes out with a small, face towel. Mr. Shorty looks at Mrs. Doris and said, "honey, she will need two of those". He finally just took off his shirt and put it around her. AND, she is 5'8"...Mr. Shorty was about 5'. He told Chelle he didn't want her to think he was getting fresh but if he tried to comfort her, he would be dead center in her ta-ta's. Yep, we still laugh at her expense.

Jay, we are just west of the casino and a little north. We are probably 2 to 3 miles from it. The way they are buying up property we may soon be a part of it.

Becca that is the best story and what makes it even better is it's true. I love it! Does your sister laugh about it now? I can just imagine the fun your Dad had giving her the money.

Yes, she does laugh now but she is still scared of bad weather. I have a picture from the newspaper and I'll try to figure out how to post it so you can see what was left of her mobile home. Pretty sad sight.
