My son met his wife, a lovely girl on MySpace. He lived in Georgia and she in Northern Ireland. Chatted for a few months before they met (she flew over to see him) They fell in love. A few flights back and forth and they got married here in about 7 months. She returned back to Ireland got their home ready and he moved over to Ireland about 6 months later. He is 39 not a youngster, beat cancer at 21 and several years ago, a car accident that left him with with a fractured neck, crushed hip and several other devasting injuries that left him having to learn to walk all over again. He knows how life can be cut short. Theyve been married for 1 1/2 years now and more in love than ever and happily living in Northern Ireland. So Online dating can work.

If you can't afford the Viagra, I know a guy in Nigeria who will GIVE you money. He tells me about it all the time.

There are lots of ways to meet people. Online is one way, and by careful screening it can work out well, as others have testified.

Getting out and involved in group activities is another. I met my spouse in the whirlpool at the Y... we knew each other about 1 year before we started dating.

I met another long ago doing an AMC bike ride...

So, you never know... but no matter what, it does not happen sitting home watching TV...
