my car and lighting problem -HELP

Glad ya got them going! :thumbsup: :applause: :applause: :applause:

But, what was the problem (and cure)? Blown fuse, glitched computer, dirty/corroded connection, bad ground, or what? Inquiring minds wanna know... 8) Also, if it gets posted on here it might help the next person with a similar problem.

One of the things about lights on your car, is that if your dash lights are out---so are your TAILIGHTS!! This is an indicator to the driver. If you turn the dash lights off with the reostat, the tailights are not out. They use the same fuse, so if a short blows the fuse you won't drive without tailights not knowing they are out.

Something else to NOT chase thinking you have a problem. On a GM vehicle, when the turnsignal is flashing the turnsignal bulb and side marker bulb flash together. Turn on the parking lights, or headlights, and the turnsignal and side marker alternate --when one is on the other is off.
