Just be carefull wich one you get. Some of them will put holes in wood fences, walls, other expensive things.. And they aren't exotic or expensive ones anymore.

Yep. I have a Gamo that shoots a .177 cal. pellet at 1000 fps. And Kate's dad's old Sherman can be pumped up to do likewise with its .20 cal. pellet. They're definitely not toys, but good rat medicine. And I suspect even a Red Ryder would do the job.

One of the very many reasons I no longer live in San Francisco. Besides, if you were to kill a rat in SF, PETA would probably run your arse out of town on a rail!

CD,

Do you have a tree for an owl house? This guy and his sisters have just about eliminated the mice, rats, moles and some of the squirrels around our neighborhood. This is a baby picture, he is a big guy now.

OK, I'll bite....what's an owl house. Fraid I've never seen one of them, or heard of it for that matter.
We've got some owls around here. I've heard barn owls and I had a great horned owl hanging around that was huge!! I saw him one night and he had to be around 2 feet tall with better than a 4 foot wingspan! Big sucker!!! and noisy too!!!
He didn't eat enough tho, still got lotsa squirrels.

Calling San Francisco "Frisco" will get you run out of town. You clearly were an out of towner. In most locales you will find that it is in the law that you can't shoot a BB gun in city limits - rarely enforced, but there if needed.

I suspect he means Frisco TX

When BB guns are outlawed...only outlaws will have BB guns! If it gets to "when wrist rockets/ sling shots are outlawed".....well, I just don't know....next thing is....no trees shrubs or brush are going to be allowed to have a growth that may potentially allow a weapon to be developed from a Y shaped branch.. in addition, no rubber or elastic type strapping will be available to the general public for the development of such a weapon. Round shaped glass items that may be used as a projectile are no longer going to be available for the general publics purchase, Cat's eyes are right out as well as are "steelies" had to have shot marbles to get those references!. If in doubt to the afore mentioned restrictions, check with the local law enforcement. Hey...it's a California thing....I'll bet if I threw Artichokes at them I'd be OK! Doug

I have a pellet gun (don't think that any deity created it, unless God lives in China), but I've only been able to shoot one. You have to have the gun in hand when you see the rat, or it's gone before you get the gun.

BYW - God inspired someone to create a BB Gun - did not actually make it himself (God is way to busy).

Actually, the hottest properties in Dallas these days is in the "Uptown" area near the city. People are moving IN to town in droves. If I could afford it, I'd move there myself.

Most of the laws about BB guns and wrist rockets being used in city limits are due to the confluence of unsupervised kids, "toy" weapons, and plate-glass.

The father of the kid behind me has paid for a lot of broken stuff, due to his son and everything from BB guns to baseballs.
