I just heard on the news that a shop in Kirksville, MO is giving away a free body piercing if you have a "I Voted" sticker and McCoy's resturant/bar in Westport in KC is giving away a free beer. Now THERE'S something I could sink my teeth into........ uh, the beer part not the piercing   !!!

I remember as a kid the bars in our town were closed on election day. I guess that isnt the case anymore. Not sure when it changed

If they have a Restaurant license they can stay open so you can either celebrate or drown your sorrows. 8) :D :D

At Toys in Babeland, New York City's leading purveyor of "bedroom appliances", they're offering his-and-her thank you gifts to those who can show a voter registration card, ballot stub or give their "word of honor" that they've voted.

"Sex crosses party lines. … We’ve tried to make this into a nonpartisan reward because we welcome everyone," Babeland spokeswoman Pamela Doan told msnbc.com. "That’s our philosophy and our mission. We didn’t want to reward only Obama supporters. We have a lot of Republicans who shop at Babeland too."

Sense my first posting:

I have sense heard the same rumblings that you suggest above and that :o
Starbucks has changed their promotion to just say anyone today can get a
free coffee
so as to NOT offend those litigious aspirations of wayward
federal lawyers. Suggesting their class would push the law onto even the
most holdsum of ideas so as to will conformity and snuff out any light hearted
show of support and friendship to the American electorate.

I voted early, and didn't grab a sticker. I guess I'll go hungry, today. :(

This was pointed out to Starbucks and I believe they've now started just giving away a standard coffee (no voter stickers required)

Voted absentee -- no "I voted" sticker but I'm not sweating Charbucks (FiveBucks), Krispy Kreme I like but Ben and Jerry's -- Would have to travel miles to find one and I would'nt walk around the corner for an Ice Cream.

It's almost five here, and my stomach is starting to growl. I sure wish I would have gotten one of those "I Voted" stickers. :(

I'll go by and get a donut and then give you my sticker CD. Or would that be dishonest?
