What comes to my mind is....robbery! When and if you do his deal you'll be carrying $2700 and a negotiable check. Maybe he's got 'friends' to do the deed. That's why he wanted to get you on unfimiliar ground. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but being paranoid has saved my a$$ more than once.
