I voted for you.....good luck....I don't own a Border Collie but I love dogs. It's a nice thing you are doing and voting is the least I can do.

kind of a neat blog.... border collies are typically black/white, or tri-colors (like mine) that have a little brown...

This shows 'red dogs'... not really rare, but not all that common. Red dogs are red/white, with no black.

Arne, I don't have border collies, but have a Lab mix and she is ALWAYS with me whereever I go. She has been to the 14th, 15th, 16th Dam gathering, has been across this great country to Fish Creek Pond in upstate NY, and to the ITG in Minden, been to Alaska twice and many times to Colorado and Utah and she loves every minute of it. I am blessed to have such a faithful companion to go with me all of these places. She will be going to her 2nd IRG this next year and to her 4th Dam gathering, so if you are there, she would love to meet you and your puppies. She is six and has the energy of a two year old.
I donate to the Best Friends Rescue center in Kanab Utah where I am going, after the 17th, to donate my time for as long as they will let me.
After the IRG, we are going up to Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore and spend some time just relaxing and seeing the beautiful sights. She does all this off leash, unless otherwise instructed by the officials.
Hope to see you at the 17th Dam Gathering.
Bruce :)

 Thanks. It worked for me now. I got my vote in before midnight so I can still vote tomorrow!

I have used your original link everyday before today with no problems. Maybe it was a temporary server issue or something.

I know just how you feel. My dogs amaze me with their love and faithfulness. I don't know what I ever did to derserve their admiration. They truly are a blessing!!

They say you can't buy love...but you can if you buy a dog!

Arne,
Voted for NEBCR just now. (type Tiger, not cat) However I would like to vote for all of them at least once. We have rescued 4 dogs in the last 18 years and gave them a forever home. Three of them are no longer with us but spent their lives in comfortable surroundings. The last was just a month ago that came out of an animal control in Pikesville KY and is turning out to be a great friend. With so many animals out there for adoption I couldn't think of going to a pet store.

Jim
I need a new Avatar. I'd put my dog up there but she doesn't look much like me. She's the skinny one.

Here is a blog for the New England Border Collie Rescue group I work with... gives a pretty good understanding of what goes on in fostering a dog. They mention the 'lucky 7', which came to NY from a TN puppy bill that had 108 b/c's and was taken down by the sheriff's dept after a lot of complaints.
