BOOTY MAGNETS

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Holy cow... I can hear the synthesizer opening up that song now.

I'd much rather think of that kind of booty going "shake shake shake" than a dog sniffing another dogs butt... which is the only thing I could come up with at first as to the what Lawnjockey meant. (which is a pretty disgusting thought).

Have you guys not seen this commercial? <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/oiuCllsEsOY&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/oiuCllsEsOY&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

My little brother has been known to borrow dogs from me for this purpose.

Yes, back in the 'ol bachelor days the dog-park was not a bad place to take our black lab and meet new friends!

I've never heard the term booty magnet, but I assume its a cleaned up version of something that without a doubt is crass. If you've ever seen the movie Borat think of the "option" he wanted on the Hummer he was considering...

I've been PM'd on this one and find the off-color meaning is very degrading to both men and women. Quality men and women should never need to stoop so low. Most men and women know they are not just an object to use and be used; unless, they have been relegated to it as a "profession" through threats and desperation. Money works as a magnet for our lower form of human men and women who do stoop below the dignified parameters.

Many have misrepresented themselves by unknowingly using words that have a different meaning to others. (On occasion, I have unintentionally done that.) I'd liked to give lawnjockey (Jocko) the benefit of the doubt on this one and say he didn't mean it that way. After all, this forum has readers from teens to seventies and maybe beyond and Jocko knows that and I assume he would be respectful of others and of himself.

Lawnjockey, I believe you are a better person than that. If you are, you should step up to the plate and explain your meaning. If you have stumbled and degraded yourself and your readers, you should redeem yourself by apologizing for your slip in judgment and actions.

Lawnjockey is sittin back laughin his a** ... (excuse me) laughin his booty off that he created such a stir. Just like an artist, he's leaving all interpretation of his words up to the readers.

I thought it was mean to dogs because of what they sometimes do when checking each other out. I didn't at all think of the affirmed crass saying "booty call".

Hey Lawnjockey, got any pictures of ink blots you want us to interpret too?

OH this brings back memories....our oldest dog is now 11...when she was a puppy, the girls just loved to pet her and she was soo hyper that she would tinkle when some would pet her...well, we were downtown one saturday and I was left outside on the park bench to watch the puppy while the wife went in all the stores...I was really having a good time talking to all the young girls as they came over to pet the puppy...the wife came back and I told her about this really hot chick that came over to pet the puppy...the wife says "did the puppy tinkle on you"? I said, "no, but I did"...

I know of no meaning for booty that should generate such a response. Perhaps some of you are more expert on these matters than I and I have been exposed to a few things in my day including living in the San Francisco area. If there is a titalating PM going around that would enlighten me please forward it.

As far as I know the term booty is not considered a swear word by the general public. Of course some have extreme views on these things and nothing can be done about that. The term booty has appeared in song and movie titles for decades and those songs are movies are played on broadcast radio and television.

The term booty magnet simply applies to a cute dog that attracts a lot of female attention. Like Freud said, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. This isn't a big deal, it is not something to get your undergarments all bunched up about.

I am unaware of any crude meaning to the term, but then again I thought teabagging was an innocent term too. Perhaps if one of you who are in the know on some other meaning to the term could set me straight on this.

You blew it Lawnjockey. You had that mysterious Bob Dylan thing going there for a bit. Should of kept your shades on and milked it a little longer. Now this thread will be just a regular old debate.

"Milked", now there is a crude term. The very idea of squeazing an appendage until bodily fluid spurts out is not something that is discussed in polite company.

I can be offended too.

Apparently this thread has went way over my head. I thought it was about using a cute dog to meet women which is not offensive or nasty in any way. I think it's a perfectly acceptable and innocent way to meet people. Better than a bar!

Clearly there is something I'm missing but that's fine with me. I like thinking of the world in my own innocent way.

My only comment is that sometimes people take these things way too seriously.I'm sure "Jocko" didn't mean to offend but it is impossible to type, sarcasm, joking banter and such.So in all thing expressed by electronic means I always try to take the meaning in the most inoffensive, least objectionable way.I find that it's pretty hard to offend me if I'm not wanting to be offended. And if I am offended than it's real easy to move onto something that doesn't.

BTW,I'm not trying to show my "Booty" here.

That's just the way it is in today’s environment. Nobody wants to read a thread for what is written. They are always reading into the posting just knowing that there must be a different meaning in it. :o
Any ways, I don't know about 'Booty Magnet' but here’s a picture of my ' Chick Magnet'. All the women know Mickey.

I don't think that I'm "innocent" of anything or anything. But, I saw and see nothing wrong with "exploiting" a common interest (dogs in this case) to meet new and perhaps interesting people.

Again, if someone suggested that my thoughts were merely "crass", I might take it as a compliment!

Cheers,

Gus
