Since I am the "KEEPER" of my family history - I prepare for many of my cousins a Traditional Slovak Christmas package. Making nut rolls - sausage for Christmas day, straw to put under their dinning table and oplatky. Along with our family traditions - prayers that our grandmother would say - and recipes to cook the traditional foods.

They all get a kick out of it and enjoy introducing these tradions to their family.

Enjoy

I made cutting boards for gifts this year I had to wait to post to keep some people in the dark. The boards are made from recycled and or reclaimed wood, some oak, cherry, mahogany, walnut and some thing that just looked good. Everybody loved them. At one party we had a pyrate gift exchange and it was stolen twice.

my homemade gifts were jams and mustards:
strawberry balsamic, apricot chipotle, and plum jams
red wine or dark bear grainy mustard
Not everyone got every kind; I had to make a quick batch of apple cider jelly to fill in some co-worker gifts at the last minute!
(next year, I need to make special batches of jam just for Christmas gifts!)
