One foot on the ground, and another on the way. Going to make pizzelles today and enjoy the magic out my window. :beautiful:

Snow, 5AM Bowie, MD

Postby digimark » Sat Dec 19, 2009 9:24 am

Took this earlier this morning. NWS is saying 1"-2"/hour all day, with blizzard-like conditions at times.

The family beagle is confused.

good morning folks. We have 12" to 20" reported here in Boone today, with more on the way...BURR...

I took some pictures, but I must be having a senior moment, cause they are not wanting to attach themselves here...dang it...I can only get one at a time from photobucket. I know I was doing better than this the other day?

Image

See Scott, I told you "I am old school"...being here is an accident, I assure you... :applause:

OK, let's try the EDIT button?

here is one of Sam looking out the bedroom windows. "sure wish I was outside playing in the snow"

Image

were did our road go?

Image

We got about 2" of snow on our screen porch.. :o

Image

We got 36" snow drifts on our deck just outside the kitchen door. Sure was nice of the wife to shovel that off for me..

Image

A shot out the east bedroom window. Guess I could make a teardrop out my little utility trailer? Well, when the snow melts, anyways...

Snowed 15 inches in Asheville yesterday

Postby Alfred » Sat Dec 19, 2009 2:41 pm

Hey Gang,

We had 15 inches of snow yesterday in Western NC. This is my 4th Winter up here and this is the most we've ever had...

Greetings from the frosty burbs of your nation's capital. Just took a walk around the neighborhood a few minutes ago. Snowing harder now than ever. Magical. More pics in my album for the snow-deprived. I'm in my glory...doing my New England heritage proud. And they said I wouldn't need new boots for Christmas anymore...tsk.

Those pictures of the DC area make me think someone upstairs is trying to slow things down in the District of Criminals. Hmmm.

Weather here!

Postby eamarquardt » Sat Dec 19, 2009 5:05 pm

Here in Ventura County it is about 73F, hazy blue skies, and shorts, sandals, and t-shirt weather.

I do, however, like looking at your pictures of snow!

Cheers,

Gus

That's more snow than we usually get up here in Michigan.

It's currently snowing here too, but we have an inch or so on the ground, and the stuff that's coming down is real fine, dusty stuff.
