Well, after a week and a half delay because of the snow, I finally had surgery this past Thursday. The doc said all went well and sent me home Friday. Now it's 2 months of healing, and trying to learn to sleep on my back.
Thanks again for your prayers,
Rick

P.S.
On the way home from the hosipital we stopped at the pharmacy and there was a worker on the same type scaffold I fell off of. I walked up and asked if the wheels were locked. NO! I gave him a good talking to, hopefully he listened.

Its been nearly 2 months since my surgery and the best advise I can give you is DONT PUSH YOURSELF .. GET LOTS OF REST. Also, keep a scarf around your neck .... the cold really aggravates the incisions and plate. You are in my prayers. I actually went back to work on Friday for 4 hours. Going to try to work 3 days this next week for 4 hours. Hope to see you camping soon .... we can compare scars  Trudy

Rick, I'm glad that The Good Lord was guiding the hands of your doctor. Please ease back into work gently and stop at the first sign of trouble.

Glad to know you are progressing so very well....of course we were all scared for you after Trudy's......The cold is killing me...I can imagine with a plate in there conducting the cold. Queenie Jeanne

Rick, we are glad the surgery is over. We have been thinking about you and wondering how things are going. Sure hope you are not in a lot of pain or at least being able to control it somewhat. Guess we will have a show and tell at BB with you and Trudy as the "showee's". Sorry we can't be of some help to you.

Been there done that etc. several years ago - isn't that collar fashionable 8) .
You may want to try to sleep in a recliner, I did for 6 weeks, made it much easier to get up and down. Good Luck and TAKE IT SLOW!!
