PUSHER STICK
My left index finger would show you the results of not using one. I just had a couple little dados to make. Making dados, you cannot use the cover over the top of the blade because there's not cut THROUGH the wood and it can't go through the blade cover support. So I was just holding down on the wood and pushing it over the blade.
When a saw blade catches and 'kicks' the wood, it happens faster that you can blink your eyes! I knew what happened before I felt the pain in my finger.
I ALWAYS use a pusher stick now!
