You have to take the "Janet" golf cart to get there. It's the plain white one with no markings.

Just to tie into this: After the first night I spent in our Camp-Inn, I got up the next morning and commented to my wife over coffee "I'm positive its bigger on the inside than it is on the outside". We looked at each other and at the same time said "TARDIS". Which is now its name.

For all you Dr. Who fans out there.

Now I've got to photoshop it into London Police Call Box livery. ;)

I have been calling these things Tardis for years. Yup, I am a Whovian from way back. Or as I called it, the BBC's school of special effects. Now I know I am not alone!

Cary,

An acquaintance's wife is working on the current Doctor Who production. After seeing her on-set photo it was a downer to find out she is a focus puller, not a Tardis driver - it's an awful job apparently, but worth it for the coolth, I'd say.

Andrew, the disappointed small boy.

Hmmnnn....

Wonder how many of those little hemispheres I'd need to convert a Camp-Inn into a Dalek.

Andrew,

It is probably safe to say those don't have any extra Daleks laying about do they? Sounds like Archer_1 wants one. Ya, that's it.

Cool photo by the way.

EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!

Friends of mine were Who fans back in high school. They tried to get me to watch so I tried once. The first thing I saw were the Daleks, I thought they were the cheesiest things in the world so it turned me off from the show.

Maybe the movie will be better? That wasn't the case with Hitchhiker's Guide.

Asianflav,

Like I said, the BBC school of special effects. Cheesy is being pretty complimentary. I started watching them when I was about 12 or so. I kind of lost interest after the Tom Baker era.

You might enjoy a couple of messages posted by the lady's husband about her work. (These were posted to an email list, so I don't think I'm harming their privacy.)

The funny story being that Mari is Japanese had never seen, or heard of, Dr Who before starting on the last series!

Day one - outside location in Cardiff. " OK Mari, set the kit up over by the Tardis"

"What's a Tardis"?

Cue collapse of crew.

She did say that the first time she saw the Daleks moving, and heard the voices (done by someone else at the side of the studio), that they were 'scarey' - even though she had been chatting to the operators and helping pushing them into position beforehand!

She has to sign a secrets thing as part of the contract - all the scripts are printed with her name diagonally across each page (to stop eBay selling!) and are requested to be left for shredded on leaving. No cameras or photo mobiles on set - that picture was snapped by one of the 'official' photographers and given out after the wrap party last year.

"What's that, boy? You say this is a teadrop forum? For real?" ;)
