let me tell you a story..back in the 80's, when i first got to Savannah, i got a account at a local bank..the bank was citizens and southern bank..abbreviated as C&S..when i got back to the barracks and told someone, they said, "oh, you went to CHEAT AND STEAL"
truss me..they lived up to the nick name..
well, years later, C&S bought out a larger bank and changed the name to Ameribank..and then they bought yet a bigger outfit, and renamed it Bank of America..so now you know that B of A is a direct desendent of Cheat & Steal.
Jim in Savannah
If you can read this bumper sticker, my camper fell off.

How true, how true. They are very heavy handed in their policies and can't wait for any excuse to get their mitts into your til. They be good at what they do and thats BAD.

My wife used to work at a small local bank in high school. I told her that eventually there would be only a dozen or so banks nationwide banks left. Her bank was bought 2 times AFTER she left. (BTW: now it's Wachovia) In the final negotiations, they made all former employees vested regardless of time in service. She ended up getting stock when she hadn't been there for 3 years. At least that's one good thing.

We stay away from commercial banks and do almost all our banking with our credit union.
