Ira could side all of our tears with the Bud cans he drank while building the crab.

Just think of what I could do if I hadn't drank Bud BOTTLES 10% of that time.
Here we go again!

Doug,
I remember those subs I think we got ours in the early 80's it had two little cups in it, you added baking soda in one well and vinegar in the other we had lots of fun with that. we also use to make boats out of egg shells.

I don't know if it is the same as the one from the 50's but I have a sub from a Captain Crunch box. It's a little plastic sub that has a spot to out baking soda in. I don't know how it works because it is still in the package. I don't know where it is but I run into it when I am looking for something else.

Not to hijack the thread... Kudos Dean and Son!

It still amazes me how flexible (and rich) our society is... we acclimate to and accept modern marvels as having always been there... We are barely surprised when a new marvel is introduced (cellphones for instance) . The changes that have occurred in the last 100 years are simply astounding... simple everyday utensils - for instance we take ball point pens for granted... not to mention automobiles, planes, instant communication of all kinds, instant food, and all the other modern toys that make even the poorest in our society live in conditions that ancient/medieval Kings would envy....

We put men on the moon almost 40 years ago using sliderules and the most basic of computers. Hand held calculators did not exist then.

Think how easy it is today to publish to a world wide audience, literally anyone can do it and reach millions.

Think about our choices and varieties of food available...

Think about climate controlled homes...

The list goes on and on and on...

Life is good indeed...
