If they do it right, it looks good on a dog.

Before any one complains, she is 14 yrs old, doesn't care, was cool all summer, got lots of attention and won the contest.

Dennis,
Is that a Westie? We have a 4 year old female Westie. We got our previous Westie a hair cut like that and he looked at us about like Asianflava's cat. I am not a cat person and I'll be darned if that first Westie didn't act just like a cat.

Westie?? West Highland WHITE? This is a Cairn, the Westies came from the Cairns many years ago when the landlord shot the quarry coming out of the ground and it turned out to be his favorite dog (no VP reference implied). He immediately ordered his handlers to gather up the white dogs in the mix, which he bred and never killed again, and the Westie was born. Cairns are any color BUT white. In fact many, but not all, including Wee Flana Een Of Ironwood (occasional lion) change color all their lives.
Cousins, yes, a Westie, no way. Think Toto in Oz. I have some color change shots of my late dog on the Cavern http://duffyscavern.org
Next question, have you tried Earthdog?? Lots of info on the site. Let them do what they were bred for.

Dennis,
Thanks, I couldn't tell if the color was off in the picture or on the dog. I have looked at your web site from time to time. It looks like fun but I don't think my dog would cooperate. Or Westie loves to "hunt", the squirrels in the yard drive her nuts. We are discussing taking her to obeience school, we treat like one of the kids which I know is completely wrong. We would like to take her camping when the trailer is finished but she would want to jump on and lick every person in sight. I do enjoy watching dogs work. Dogs are really smart and you can tell they enjoy working.
