Actually... They did that on junkyard wars/scrapheap challenge some time ago. (I don't know if that show is even around anymore, It was a russian team though)

If you're going to build an ancient vehicle, the one I've always fancied is the forecar, like these:

The lady rides in the wicker chair in front with her large hat firmly tied to her head with a stout ribbon. She is sternly dissuaded from protecting herself from the sun by putting up her parasol.

The gentleman rides on the back and is able to lean forwards for a little nuzzling, possibly some canoodling and, for Ira, even a sneaky peak down her decolletage.

The gentleman always remembers to refer to this vehicle as 'romantic' and never mentions ideas like 'using my wife as an airbag in the event of an accident', oh no.

I've seen it!!! Me, me, I've seen it! Was some sort of a military experiment, WW I, either French or Italian (who wore the helmet with the mohawk bump on top?)

It didn't work from what I could tell - And I think it was on the History Channel about, oh..... 5 years ago?
