Yup, wide open, no trees, the area is known as the Strezleki Desert. No Kangaroos out there because there is not enough water.
Miriam you must have tough feet as it is what we call a gibber plain. That is small rounded rocks that get red hot during the day and freezing at night.
Chip, in the entire trip we only saw two dingo's, a couple of rabbits and two emu's. I figure that any canines out there must squat. As for the human requirement the rule was girls to the left of the car and boys to the right.
MJ I would be a bit slack if i did'nt post any of da pics I took, would'nt I? 8)
Sonetpro, I know that everything in Texas is bigger than anywhere else :D
Gage, I asked Reiner about that and his explanation was it was for looks. When I queried further he admitted that it was for ease of fitting a roof rack.
