How the hell this guy has a gun and kills all those children amazes me!
It is a sad fact that sometimes people qualify to own a gun, when in reality they are not mentally stable, or for other reasons should not be able to own one.
Requirements for just owning a gun, much less getting a special additional permit to carry one on your person are growing stricter all the time, as they should, to get rid of loopholes and prevent more unqualified people slipping through the cracks.
Many gun related killings are committed by people who were not qualified/allowed to own a gun, but were not stopped by something silly like a law. (Gang members...etc.)
The idea of banning all guns comes up a lot, but one must remember/realize that the problems caused by illegal gun use are not committed by law abiding citizens, they are committed by criminals, who don't heed the law.
Banning all guns will not stop criminals from getting/having guns.
Finding a better way to control criminal activity might reduce illegal gun use.
Seriously, they should ban guns all together as all you hear about is mass murders and stupid killings all over the news.
That would be one way to deal with the problem.
Is it realistic? No.
People used to drive drunk and kill people with their cars, and got just a slap on the wrist.
Over time the laws got tougher, and those who use a car to kill someone else, intentionally or not face very harsh consequences. But banning ownership of cars across the board because some people use them to kill was not, and is still not a practical solution.
It would be just another emotionally charged knee jerk reaction.
Prosecuting people who commit crimes with the implement of their choice is the only realistic option available.
If someone wants to hurt or kill another person or persons, and there were no guns because they had all been banned, there are plenty of other "things" that can be used.

Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...
