Heikki:

How did Una react to her shots? Abbie does OK with hers, but Dixie prefers to scream as if she is being mutilated.

Well, Before we went into the actual room. She barked and barked and barked. Ok the real reason was that there was a nice Siberian Huskey there and a huge terrier. So she was the underdog.

As soon as she was set on the table. Was a bit scared. And I held on to her while the vet gently stuck the needle. No problem really. No Yelp or nothing.

She also had a chekup included and all is well. Eyes, Teeth and Health are very good.

Possible side affects could occur. High temp. Swelling of the gums or .

So its now that we have to watch carefully. Stomach problems could also be a syptmom. The vet said that there could be some side affects but temp is the main one.

All in all she was good. And enjoyed the car ride very much. So maybe a daily car trip is in order.  Wonder why she was more anxious to leave than on the inbound part. :)

Ohh another thing.. hair hair and hair already all over the place. Just maybe I,ll get a samoyed sweater one day    trying to turn things positive here. :)

Heikki:

Glad to hear Una did well with her shots. It's probably not a bad idea to take her for short drives as much as possible so she can get used to being in a car. I found that Dixie travels best if I crate her and give her a favorite toy.

Abbie travels well until the speed gets to about 40mph or so, and then she goes and hides under the seat. This happened because a small rock hit the windshield on a trip to New Mexico when she was in the front seat, and it scared her to death. She does fine with in-town driving, but highway speed freaks her out. I have started crating her with Dixie if it will be a road trip.

Una is growing so fast! She has a really cute personality.

Susann, Abbie is adorable. How old is she? And Pippin? It looks like they are best buddies. I played that video over and over.

Becca:

Abbie is about 7yrs. old, and Pippin is a little over 1 yr. old. If you also look at my other video's (look on the right side for more from "iplay10us2", I think I have another one with her playing with the cats. And there is one of Dixie dancing to music on the radio.

I have another I will probably post on youtube soon of Pippin playing on the treadmill that I was filmed earlier today. I need to get some more work done before I can play with the camera again, though.

Susann, I watched every video. Those 2 babies of yours are characters! The cats are so damn funny. We had a cat named Pierre, who also was gray colored and had a short tail...wasn't born with it but had to have it cut off because of some inbred idiot neighbor of ours in Georgia shot him with a BB gun. Anyway, Hannah (R.I.P.), my Maltese mix little girl was 10 weeks old when she met Pierre. He would lay on the floor on his back and Hannah would run circles around him trying to bite his nubby tail. He was a very patient big brother during her puppy stage but when he had enough, he would put his paw out, claws extended and grab her. You would hear this little baby yelp and see those big brown eyes looking around for help. He would let her go and she would start running around him again. I would just sit back and laugh.

Hannah was the best car rider. This little heathen I have now (Maggie Mae) is another story. She went through the terrible 2's from birth. She is now 2 and begining to bite me less. But she is a daddy's dog and that's ok with me.

Hijack:
Well, I gotta go shower. I just got back from a "Zumba" class at the YMCA and I am beat. I made it through the whole hour this time...how I still don't know. Tomorrow is an hour with Greg, a personal trainer and Thursday, racketball. I am either going to lose this blubber butt or die trying. Wish me luck!

Dang, Becca. You are making me tired just thinking about all of your activities. The weather here has been awful with rain, ice, and cold, so I have not been able to take my dogs out for their 3 mile walk. I have managed to get on the treadmill some today, but I have really used the excuse of bad weather to work on some databases.

I play tennis, and try to use Weight Watchers to help me lose weight.

Heikki:

I can almost see Una growing every day with the pics you post. She is so cute, and cuddly. If she mainly hair, though? I am thinking that if you gave her a bath, she would look very skinny.

When she's bigger and hairier (so much more hair to come!), I very strongly recommend buying a groomer dryer.

Takes an hour, or more, to dry Gidget. An equally good reason to get such a dryer is that you can take her outside between baths and have one person run a comb through her coat while the other directs the dryer. The loose hair will then fly away outside your house. Just a thorough session with the dryer and comb (no bath) will transform your pup's quote and they will look sensational, in addition to shedding that hair outside rather than in your home.

I have this one and it's plenty powerful:

That's still Gidget's favorite sleeping pose.

A lucky puppy's life: not a care in the world.
