How common is your last name in America

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Evidently I don't count 'cause my name isn't in the database.

Mincey (married name) is 5407. My husband has 147 first cousins, a majority of them from his mother's side, Chester. Chester is ranked 2207. But one thing to consider, Native Americans were given surnames by the white men, not passed down through their own culture. My husband is a member of the Cherokee (Tsalagi) tribe.

P.S. You need to find the post with the list to find out my last name since he couldn't wait.

My married name comes in at # 16,113, but my maiden name comes in at # 3624. That surprises me. There are Akermans everywhere around here, (and all of the crazy ones kin to my hubby!), but only a handful of Sebastians in the whole county.
