Do you know who Leonard Cohen is???

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

I noticed your comment on the difficulty of getting used to his newer stuff... I was introduced by his "Everybody Knows" song on one of his newer albums. I like most of his newer stuff but find it more difficult to get into his older work. I must agree though he is one of the greats. I love "Democracy".

I got caught up listening to Leonard Cohen back in the 70's when I was in what is now Portsmouth University, England. In those days Portsmouth was a great centre for music...(The Who movie "Tommy" was filmed there - I had an xtra role in that)..along with a developing love of Cohen's music I was also impressed and became a lifetime fan of other "folksy" type singers......Poet/Singer/Songwriter's ...Ralph McTell, Tom Paxton, Jim Croce, Gordon Lightfoot....what a great time for music.

Great find Greg. Just downloaded LC and a few others. Great quality, and LC is 90 minutes with all his hits and an extremely appreciative audience.
