Happy Birthday notes, how much is too much

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Postby elmo » Sun Aug 19, 2007 7:28 pm

Every thread isn't going to interest everyone here. When I started this website I didn't know what a Dutch Oven was and skipped over them until curiousity got the best of me. Now I own a couple and read every thread. (Still don't know what to do with them, but I do have a couple)

People stop being so closed minded....skip it if you don't want to read about it...open it and you may learn something....or maybe even smile! :)
It's scary when you start making the same noises as your coffee maker.

I'm with you Dean...with all the BS and other type stuff(like upcoming personal magazine publishing) being posted, getting your panties inna wad just seems inappropriate to me....

If anyone has a right to bitc.. ah.. complain about birthday posts, it would be Aunti M. She is the one that does them...every day she is there for us.

C'mon Folks, just skip over them, if you are not interested.

Oh, and Gage, In my opinion, there is no such thing as a dumb or stupid question here. Asking questions and getting help is a lot of what this forum is about. Folks can come here with NO experience and learn to build a TD or TTT... by asking questions.

Questions are not Dumb, but some of the statements I have read in this thread are.

So tell me Mary K, when I attach my walls to the floor of my current build. Should I screw the sides to the floor and then glue or should I glue first and then add screws. Oh, and how many screws should I use?

That's a question I remember someone posting. I can't find it so I don't know what the answer is and I need to know what to do.

P.S. Check out the 'HELP' post in the General Section. Yep the guy had a good question but I believe he thinks we're a bunch of mind readers and that is dumb. But maybe you could help him out and tell him how much his teardrop is worth.

:applause: :applause: :applause:

I can't believe everyone is complaining about a nice thing like Happy birthday have we all become so uptight that we don't have a little time to slow down and think of other people on a special day.
I don't wish everyone a happy Birthday but I do think people like it when they hear it especially when they are newer I think it makes them feel welcome

If any thread should die it should be this one

just my thoughts

PS Gage just pass over the silly questions just like the birthdays
yes there are silly questions that's why we have a choice what to respond to

Being FREE means just that in this country. I support Miriam's efforts. On the other hand, there will always be whiners, who will never see the good side of some things. Ira, maybe the reason you have not had sex in 6 months, is you spend too much time at the computer, but won't put the time into a relationship. This is the off topic forum, isn't it? GO AUNTIE M !!!

Just screw it Gage, and use all the screws.... at one time.

I read the post, and I see he got a pounding from the forum bullies for his question and probably will not come back. It was his first post for crying out loud. Looks like he did not know anything about Teardrops (believe it or not some folks don't) or the history of TD's and assumed he was asking a answerable question.

So tell me S10CHEVY (what a funny name), how's your teardrop coming?

But if I skip over them, how will I know if they are dumb questions or not. I've never said anything about silly.

 Good answer, but now what do I do with all the glue that everyone told me I needed? I guess by not using the gorilla glue, it won't get in my hair.

Forum Bullies? Here I thought we were having some fun until you made that last statement. Seeings how you think our return questions were out of line. You give him an intelligent answer, because I guess the rest of us are to dumb to tell him what he wants to know.

I understand, its kinda like mob science, ya just can not help but join in and throw a rock or two. I know I did it once... in a thread not a mob. It felt terrible too.
