Rest in Peace Daisy...

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Damn!

Really can't say anything more than what's already been said, my friend, but having had the privilege of meeting and sort-of getting to know Daisy over these past few years ... and having lost a couple of my own best four-legged friends in the last couple of decades ... I know your pain and sense of loss. You have my deepest empathy.

If there is anything I can do ...

Doug,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Losing a best friend and companion is the worst. I hope your grief passes quickly. I know Daisy will be in your heart and memory forever. She was lucky to have you in her pack.
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

Doug I am so sorry for your loss. There are no words for losing a best friend. Just remember all the goods times. She was a very special dog. I know how much you loved her and she loved you too. You gave her a wonderful life.

Doug, I am so sorry to hear that you had to let her go. I lost my best buddy (Darby, a Shetland) to cancer a few years ago, and it was the hardest decision I ever had to make. He still seemed to want to be around, but the cancer had gotten the better of him. I had his vet come to my home to put him to sleep, and I am sooooo glad I did that.

It does get easier as time goes by, but I still get teary-eyed thinking about him or looking at a photo of him. Hang in there Doug.

Really didn't know what to say when you told me about her the other night. I know how close she was to you. It's really too bad.
Again, I'm really sorry to hear it!

Doug, I know we talked about this and how hard it was going to be. All I can say is hang it there and know that she was the sweetest best behaved dog I ever met.

Sorry for you loss,
Jim

Doug,

Sometimes there just aren't any words that will help. This is one of those times.

I'm really sorry to hear. I had to do it twice and I am not looking forward to the one coming up. But I heard this from some where:
Dogs live only so long for a reason. If they lived any longer, we would never get over having to let them go.
You will see her again some time.

Doug

Dogs are such wonderful creatures. When one finds a place in our heart and life it is a true loss. If you are a reader, I recommend Merle's Door As a dog lover I can say it is the best book I have ever read about dogs, their nature, and in particular, one man's relationship with his special canine. It may help....

Sincerely

Miss Daisy

Postby CAJUN LADY » Sun May 18, 2008 9:12 pm

Doug, my heart goes out to you at the loss of Miss Daisy. I know what you are going through and it hurts. Our 4 legged fur-babies are so loyal, loving and keeps us laughing and to have to part with your best buddy is a heartache that is deep. You're in our thoughts and prayers. Yes, we pray for our pets too.
