Heikki.. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family during this sorrowfull time.
One good thing... Your Mother isn't sick or in pain anymore... She is at peace.
Heikki, hang in there, I've been there in a way too. I met my biological dad a few years ago and he only lived about 4 years before he passed away. He had a stroke before I met him so I really didn't have the opportunity to get to know the real dad but we had some time together. My mom passed away last July so I no longer have living parents. Our best to you. Danny

As you lay your mother to rest, just know that all of us are standing there beside you. We'll never feel what you feel, but we're trying. God give you peace and strength.
Thank You for the kind words and prayers that you have sent this way. They sure do help in more ways than one. Weve read the replies here over and over again and of course I shed a lot of tears and as I write this to you I cant help but shed some more.
Ive shown this to my family and friends here and their reply was that Im so lucky to have so many good friends around the world that really care
even so far away that share our sadness with us.
I commented that yes indeed you all are very special with no denial there. Thats what keeps me and the wife here. The happiness and sadness that is shared like one big family. Thank You for that.
Im working on arrangements and paperwork as best as I can. Im also very stressed and tired. But I,ll get through these times for sure. I get power to go on by stopping here even though I dont have much time at the moment but every minute helps.
To each and all of you wherever you may be a big thank you from the heart for the kind thoughts and prayers once again.
I need to go for now but I,ll get back asap.
Sincerely

Blessings to you and yours during these times. I'll keep all of you in my prayers. May God greet your mom with open arms, and may he hold you close and whisper in your ear " you are "my" son in whom I am well pleased. Walt

Heikki, we are grieving together and I know the pain you are feeling. I am so impressed with the supportive posts that I got from so many caring folks, here on the board, and I know you feel the same way. Just know that your Mom and my sweet Ollie, are both preparing a place for us when the time comes. They are gone for now, but never forgotten. Be well my friend, surround yourself with caring folks and keep busy. I know it is working for me, and I'm told it gets easier with time. We certainly hope so.

Heikki,
Nothing in this life prepares us for the loss of a loved one or a parent. We all stand beside you in your grief and hold you up to God in our prayers. May He hold you in the palm of his hand as long as you need.
