Well, it's past my first guess. It's now at $27,250. So I get to guess again.
Ummmm

I'll say....$32,850.
No way dude. Bob Barker would have none of that double bidding stuff on The Price Is Right.
But seeing how you were the only contestant in the showcase showdown, I'd say you have a good chance of winning.
Side Note: Seeing these kind of numbers for the price makes me agree 100% that the restoration company is getting the short end of the stick. I hope a settlement was reached for their work.

im sure they got a whole lot of sorry but its stolen and were taking it back thanks for making it look nice for us
p.s. i HATE insurance companies
This is a very interesting question as it pertains to depreciation... something insurance companies are notorious for deducting what always seems an exorbitant amount of money due to age.
WELL, legally it would seem to be fair to apply the same standard formula for determining the value of a 35 year old vehicle. Anything over and beyond that amount in the auction should go to the person or company responsible for creating that value.
This would truly be a case of the insurance talking out of both sides of their a** if they don't compensate others for what is completely unrelated to their own appraised value. What if the thing had gold rims on it? (I'm just sayin).
