De-lamination problems with my factory TT

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Postby GPW » Fri Jul 02, 2010 7:04 am

I have since contacted "the dealer" , explained the problem .... He promised a free inspection and diagnosis ...
My correspondence with the factory produced predictable results ...

Quote: "The 2 year limited warranty on the unit has
expired on 6-23-09. You will need to contact your local Jayco dealer to
have them inspect the front wall for a cause of the delam and a repair
estimate. The dealer can submit the inspection results to Jayco inc. for
review but with the unit being a year out of the warranty I can not make
any guaranty that this repair will be covered. "

So much for that ...

If the dealer will provide a free inspection and report to the company with an educated guess as to when the delamination started (While the unit was still under warranty) you have at least enough of a chance to make it worth the effort to continue... In my opinion...

Thanks Rob .... hoping for the best ... fingers crossed ...

You know , the odd thing is after all this my TT will only hold 900 lbs. of cargo , me and the wife and dog included included ... When I checked into a 14' Featherlite cargo trailer (suitable for conversion) , said it held 7000 lbs. in cargo , tandem axle , just like mine ... What the ??? :?

Decided to sell the TT (at a loss) .... Can't hang with all the expensive repairs , only to have the same problems/expenses in the future ...
