Not to beat the nostalgic drum....but it's kinda neat to think about that stuff and how it affects you now huh???? for me...that damn Mouse Trap game haunts me....as it ended up...I told the story and everyone found out how dissapointed I was....but that was 25 years later...so I didn't cash in on it....but I think they all get it when I go crazy and bust my butt to get something I want in life, monetarily or not...and they all laughed at me buying a Rambler...well I just don't care......Doug

Your right Doug, If the parents would have let me have that old worn out Cushman scooter when I was a kid I probably wouldn't have ridden Harleys for 25 years as soon as I left home. Might have been and upstanding "citizen".

Steve, have you seen the little "cycle" that the Tractor Supply is selling? I didn't check the model or make, but it sure looks like a 3/4 scale version of the old Eagle. That's what I thougt of when I saw them.

Guess I missed that one Dale, looked at their website and didn't see it either. But that's OK. What do you think of this 1954?

Steve, that is one cherry Cushman. I envied the couple of guys in my HS class that rode them. Most of the scooters they guys had were the boxes on wheels type.

My mother in law is a coupon saver. She is so good at this that at one time she bought a car with rebate money. She saves up all the free promotional stuff that she gets from coupons and incentives and gives them out as Christmas gifts. Everything has some company's logo on it.
One year her Christmas gift to me was a 10 lb. bag of cat liter; we don't even own a cat.

I think this year she will be getting a teardrop hitch cover (her free car doesn't even have a receiver on it)!

One spring I saw that JB Whites (now Dillards) had Pendleton wool sweaters on sale. I bought one for my snooty brother in law up in Pennsylvania and patted myself on the back that I was such a good shopper. Kept it stored in the bedroom closet all through the spring, summer and fall.

When Christmas came, wrapped it up, took it up to Pennsylvania. When he opened it Christmas morning we discovered the moths had gotten to it sometime during the year and eaten big holes in the thing.

So much for buying presents early.
