Exercise Anyone?????????????

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

A thought on weight loss. I hear from lots of people.. that start working out to gain weight.. and they do their workouts and are disappointed that they have not lost weight.

If you were still in weight gaining mode.. before your start.. it takes a bit of work.. to just get to a place where your weight stays the same... where you are no longer gaining weight.

I still haven't lost any weight, so says the scale, but I know that I am definitely stronger. I kinda wish I had done a before/after picture so I could see the difference.

while it won't be at your "start" you could take a photo from now...

Are you just doing the weight workouts 3 times a week? If so.. while it will contribute to your strength.. In the big picture you are not burning that many calories.

I guess I could. Every so often I try to work in some other stuff on "off" days, like walking or bellydancing. When the weather improves and it stays lighter out longer, I'll probably be doing more rollerblading and hiking.
BTW, as I type this, Honeyman is doing his second workout from New Rules of Lifting (I've been doing New Rules of Lifting for Women).

Heck...based on that, I'm surprised he's not doing the old Jane Fonda workout.
Now, now, we should be nice. He's not here to defend himself.

So, to report today's exercise: an hour and a halfish of ice skating.
