Nah, that's an old photo, 8 or 9 years ago taken after eye surgery. I just don't have many photos of myself to choose from.

Just a quick note to all you newbies on the forum: We're all glad you're here. :applause: "The more the merrier!" I personally have learned a lot on this forum, a darned site more than I'd have picked up anywhere else! But you'll quickly notice how many people are using personal pictures as avatars. The internet is notorious for anonimity, and it is easy to be communicating with letters only. However, it's a lot more personable to use personal pics for avatars because it makes it more like chatting over a campfire..........which is what most of us are after, after all! So, when you feel comfortable enough to join in the conversations, try making it even more personal and "break out of the box", so to speak, by posting a personal avatar. Thanks. We'll all appreciate it. :applause:

Just wondering if the few holdouts on posting a photo as an avatar, such as myself, will be penalized in any way? I doubt if anyone will ever see me because I don't camp any more. I camped for over 50 years, 40 of it with the wife. We went from tenting all the way thru the usual steps and then spent the last 15 years using our Honda GoldWing with a matching cargo trailer for hauling the gear. We also had an 85 Westy that made the trip up the Alcan for the 50th anniversary year. The wife passed away in 2000 and now I just design and build.

Heck, no-one's going to penalize you.............but it'd still be nice and neighborly if'n ya did!
