Scott's favorite picture is my favorite too! That one of the two of them on the rock could probably win a picture contest! Great fun! :applause:

Thank You for the compliments and nice words everyone. We sure love the photo of Samuel and Una looking down from the rock as well. The thing is it wasnt preplanned or staged so thats what really makes it unique.

We are wondering as to how big Una will become yet. Here is Una,s father, Sebastian.

Image

And Unas mother Blondie.

Image

Also makes us think as to how dominant Sebastians coat of fur will be yet?

Can anyone guess?

[b]I owned an american eskimo a decade ago. I really loved that dog. He was incredibly smart and in the same family as your dogs just a smaller dog. Now Ive got this lil girl. She weighs about 2 pounds and is full of attitude. Smart too!
Your dog is Beautiful..

Fit Samoyed females tend to be in the 40-50 pound range. Gidget's ideal weight is about 45 pounds.

It varies, of course. A typical male weight is around 65 pounds, 75+ for a fat Sammy. A friend of mine's male Sammy is about 50 pounds but he's small for a male.

Gidget looks the same size as dogs with short hair who weigh 75 pounds.

She's a lot smaller looking when she's wet.

Good Evening. Thank You.

Yes she looks good and the vet says she,s been properly taken care of and is the correct weight. The only thing her pigment around the eyes has not grown together to the black as they should be however she is loved just the same. She has another samoyed pup nearby
that she plays together with. I,ll try to get photos of the 2 of them together.

The wife has her trained to follow by her side and stands and sits and so on, on command. She hasnt torn anything apart. No furniture chewed at all. And best of all, she,s fully housebroken and lets us know when she needs to go out. What more can we ask for. Loves children and never does them any harm.

So we are very pleased to say that a Samoyed is truly a lovely dog regardless of the amounts of hair all around.   Lint rollers are of abundance here now which you suggested earlier. :o

Soon we can start training her to pull. And that she loves to do already to a certain extent. :) :)

Hi there

Yes she is a personality and a glow about her as you say. Still no ripping up the furniture or anything else.
Nice. Samuel and Una are very close. The pic is with my oldest son. Now weve got her following us by our side. And she also has learned to roll over and crawl. Its a sight to see. But now we know she is intelligent as can be. So were very happy with her.

We are taking her to a puppy show in June. First one with her so we,ll see as to how that goes.

Classic Finn ;)

I wouldnt mind having another one but it wont happen :o   It sure is a beautiful breed. Ohh by the way she loves taking a Sauna.  Even with her thick coat she,ll sit with us there till one of us come out. :D

We have to keep our eyes open and be careful due to the venomous vipers that we have waking up from winter in the nearby woods. They are very poisonous.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vipera_berus

The wife and youngest son as well as Una were on a hike in the nearby woods and ran across a viper that had been beheaded and laying on a rock so them snakes are out and on the move. As they found out. Someone killed it just recently.

Today is Gidget's 7th birthday, and it occurs to me this evening that we need

UNA pics!!

How is the angel puppy, Finn???

She's well into adolescence now. Did she eat any shoes? The kitchen floor?

Gidget ate a few high heels (always the left, for some reason) and all the plastic pieces off some Maui Jim sunglasses.
