Why don't we change our avatars?

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Naw! From the picture, ya don't look a day over 60! Of course, it's probably one of those "Glamor Shots" photos! ;)

Gage nagged:
Miriam, where's your avatar?

Miriam is just now having time to read through the 25 pages of the good stuff. You asked for it. Besides I am the one usually behind the camera so I had to pull one from the wedding pics. last year. Mine came out better. I am not in them.

Miriam appreciates all y'all.

Have a good day.

Okay, it's my turn to nag again.

All you noobies out there.............all those teardrop wannabe's (like myself) who want to be a part of all this crazyness...........Post a picture of yourself for your avatar, please. This is a friendly group of people.........not an anonymous chat-board like some other sites. Let's see who we're communicating with. It's all a lot of fun and it's fun to see "people" and not just names or cartoon characters. So dive right in and be a part of it. You're welcome here and we're glad you're joining in.

How about putting a location in your profile too?? At least what state you are in. It makes things alot clearer for everyone else to know where you are talking about when a location is mentioned in your area.

Thanks!

You know I have the attention span of a gnat so I change my avatar often usually an animated GIf that I find. But I finally put one up with my face on it. I don't know how long it will last .............Oh look something shiny........

Okay, Boys and Girls.........................................

It's time to get up-close-and-persoanal again, and I don't mean :lips:

Avatars are nice................cute................. and even entertaining, but they aren't very personable. Often on the internet, it is easy to misread what is being said and for disagreements to flair up. (Had it happen many times myself.) I feel the solution is to post a personal picture as your avatar. That way people can see who they are communicating with. After seeing your beautiful or handsome smile they'll know you couldn't possibly be arguing. Besides, not everyone is going to be able to make it to a gathering and this forum is sort of like a gathering in cyberspace. So we can all sit around the campfire and know who we are talking with....................and if you ever really get to make it to a gathering you'll aready know some of the people there.

So how about it? Are you brave enough to show us your mugs?

Good to see this friendly reminder up here again. So many of you have reverted to your old avatars that I'm having trouble remembering who I'm talking to. If you had'nt guessed, I much prefer face to face than responding to a dead film star

Cheers
