Why don't we change our avatars?

Ditto above. I agree, it is nice to put a face to who we are talking to and when we go camping will reconize who you are.

Thanks guys. It may be tough getting the old-timers to join in, but the Newbies need to get on board and share in the fun.

Chris, I was wondering when you were going to remind everyone of this point...and I heartily agree...post your personal mug for an avatar...we won't laugh I swear....cute usernames are OK too but signing your posts with your first name make it a lot easier to say...Hey Mack, instead of hey xkw639...ya know what I mean...

Just to be totally honest, Madjack, I needed some prodding from someone else who also thought it was an important subject.

So that being said.............................. START POSTING PERSONAL PICTURES FOR AVATARS!!!!!!!!! (or we'll all put a voodoo hex on your build project like Doug does our transmissions)

Chris, you cetainly have my permission(and prodding) to bug folks about their avatars...if I can put my ugly mug up there, so can you...at least every now and again so we know who we are talkin' to...y'all also keep in mind what I said about usernames and signing with your own name...at least ever now and again(hmmm deja' vue)...oh yeah...how about putting at least a general location so that we know have an idea where you are from...this really helps when answering questions about suppliers and such...

Okay, Madjack made it plumb O-Fish-E-L!!!!!! I'm now the Avatar Chairman. As such I'm supposed to pound all you Newbies to a pulp. (No, that's not it!................Must have been another speech!) Anyway, I'm supposed to hound everyone to death to post personal picture avatars so's we all know who we's a'talking with!

All kidding aside, it would really be helpful to have personal avatars instead of pictures of our cars, teardrops, pets, cartoon characters, etc., etc., etc. It's not that that's not all a lot of fun, but it just plain makes sense to have a picture of the guy or gal you're communicating with. So don't be shy. We won't laugh or make fun of your picture, and it won't mess up any of our PCs if you don't look like a movie star. But it sure will help to know what we all like...............and I'd bet most of us look like ourselves! And it'd sure make it a lot easier to find Madjack at a gathering if he had a picture of himself as his avatar instead of a Pink Flamingo or something like that.

Okay, get the idea? :lightbulb: Now I'm pulling out my voodoo dolls.................. 8) (Thank God this is all in cyberspace, so no-one can throw bricks at me!)
