I used to have a next-door-neighbor named Atom Smasher.

Well, that's his on-air name. :D

It's 102 at quittin' time at the doghouse.

Psycho poodle got groomed today. I had my annual checkup and lecture from the doctor today. Other than that, not much to tell.

I'm thinking about dumping a customer, even though I hate to lose business. This customer is a dealer of a VERY pricey brand of sportscars, making tons of money, is a real PITA, and seems to lose their #@$!! checkbook on a regular basis. They have not paid invoices from April, and just complained I'm not doing enough for them.

I'm thinking about agreeing to their request for more services, with a higher price that I know they aren't going to want to pay.

I am about to invoice them for June, and I am definitely not doing any more work until I am paid for April and May. That alone may send them packing. And, being owned by a very rich guy, they will probably stiff me on what they owe me. :x

That's how you get rich in America.

He was actually one of the nicest neighbors I have ever had. Smart, friendly, and funny.

Lot's of tattoos, and he had a mohawk when he lived next door. But, a really good neighbor.

you know when i was in the professional upholstery business, I learned a lesson about being too cheap. I would subcontract for some local interior designers. I went to bid on a job and the "customer" said they would "think" about it. Never heard back from them. two weeks later i got a call from one of the designers i did work for to pick up some furniture at their shop for some contract work - Guess what it was?? Right! it was the Same stuff that I had bid on earlier - but they went with a higher priced designer - It really didn't matter to me - work was work. From that point on I did raise my rates and the image was that I was upscale and actually got more business from upscale clients

Actually, the fact that I cook almost all of my meals myself, from good ingredients, was a plus.

She gives me grief about my cholesterol, but it runs in my family, and we have historically lived into our 80s and 90s.

I survived cancer, and the cancer had nothing to do with my lifestyle. I am 50, I'm 5'11" and weigh 165 pounds. I'm not too terribly worried about my health.

I worry more about my ability to pay for health care than I do my actual health.
