It got up to 103 at the Doghouse, and it isn't even July, yet. Still no rain. Almost the entire state is under a burn ban. This is not looking like a good summer. :(

So, is Bill drunk on homebrew, yet? Full of barbecue, yet? If not, WHY NOT?

I though he was going out dancing with the guys...

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Well actually we had a few liters of homebrew - toasted the days event - and then the boyz and the wife took me out to an Italian Steak house - it was excellent. Ate way too much but the food was excellent and the company was great. A very nice way to spend a birthday. And to top that - I took off today from work - going to polish up DA MOOSE and get to a campsite ..................

You all have a great and HOT day..........

It is 7 PM at the doghouse, and believe it or not, it is HOT!

I'm going to cook up a small steak once the sun goes down. I have potato baking in the oven.

Tomorrow, I am smoking a meatloaf for a Throwdown on my BBQ forum. I'm going with an Italian Meatball theme, with half ground beef and half ground pork, with fresh herbs from my garden. I plan to top it with some fresh tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella, and melt it down before adding some fresh basil leaves on top. I'm going to serve it with just some crusty Italian bread.

I plan to call it my Mama Mia Margherita Meatloaf.

It will NOT be your mothers meatloaf.

But, it is a Meatloaf Throwdown, so I gotta' make it sing. In this case, it will sing opera style.

Do you think that is a good entry for a meatloaf throwdown? Let me rephrase that, are you drooling?

Hello Alan!
How is everything in the great left state? I mean California.

Yes the humidity was out of this world today but the temps were down...lots of rain!

8) 8) Good morning.
Saturday is shaping up to be the same as the past week...wet and humid.
The chance of rain goes down for the 4th.

Make it a great day where you are!!
