You know, domestic chores and getting ready to replace a fuel pump that is in the fuel tank and stuff like that...and now the UPS guy will not get here with the part until this afternoon...GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

So, Bill, your heat wave is over? Or, just the lull before the storm?

We are in record setting mode for the high temp's in central Florida...Can you say "HOT"!!!! We also have the humidity to go along with it.

Okay, you know the story...Make it a great day and drink lots of water!

It seems that way. Remember - it is going to be September soon and the heat is winding down. Just hope the rain holds back...........

Thursday was the first day since June that we did not go over 100 degrees at the doghouse. It was cloudy all day, but not a drop of rain fell on me. :(

I shot six cars outside today, and it was sunny and over 100 again. I was wiped out when I got home.

But, one week from today, I will be in Monterey, CA. I will need a jacket in the mornings. Four days and three nights of cool weather. I'll probably dream about it tonight.

On the flip side......this is the first time in over two decades that the weather has not yet hit the 100 degree mark at the summer home. Usually July has about a week of 100+ and August is always up there, but lucky us! Not yet!

Glad to here that you should be able to take care of your pre-diabeties with diet alone! Considering that the other option is how do you get type 2 diabeties? My father has that and well his question of the day is how does he mess his health up? Anayway don't become him:(

8) Hello from HOT Florida,
If we didn't set records the past couple of days, I would be very surprised!!

It has been very HOT around here!!

Glenn, Glad you are feeling better and it seems that if you are an American, the drug companies want you to be pre-diabetic...and buy drugs!!
Just saying...me too...and have been pre...for five years.

Diet is the correct way to control it. Good luck!!

I also did a bit of running around... it would have helped to have had two way radio's...

I don't know anything about drugs for pre diabetes.. the doctor said we would use non.. He does want me to monitor my sugar reading it 3 times a week.. and and we will do an A1C test every 3months.

In the past my regular blood sugar tests, were ok. It does not mean that I did not have some troubles... I will seriously look at diet changes...

And Monday it is!!!!!!!!!!!!! Time for a rejoicing Hello and welcome to the day.

Boy what a craszy weekend. Had the Beer Judging at the Montgomery County Fair - it went very well. A nice selection of beers where presented to our panel of Best of Show judges. They do a presentation to the community and focus on relating beer and the farmer. A kind of from the land to the glass theme. Lot's of fun.

Then on Sunday evening it was like the heavens opened up and we must have had one of the worst t-storms in the area in the past 10 years. It seemed like someone just opened a value and coming out of a 1 inch pipe it just flowed. Creeks and rivers were overflowing in a mater of minutes.

But the nices part of the day was when we attended the EAGLE SCOUT Cermony for two young men - that we have basically watch grow up. It gives you faith that there are young people like that and to know that we will be in good hands in the future. They both did a "GOOD JOB".

Have a great day and enjoy
