BILLYL wrote:So what's you BBQ????? We started doing some Korean BBQ. A whole lot of different method. More marinated meats (chicken, beef and pork) Thinly sliced - cooked on a skillet like plate on the grill. Kinda of make your own meal. Really tasty stuff serve the meat in lettuce leaf with rice and a dab of soy paste. Sounds a little strange but really tasted good.

Fun to do with a big gathering of family and friends..........

Enjoy

I love Korean BBQ called "Bulgoggi" . You can make it from beef ribs, thin sliced beef, pork, or chicken. Beef...sogoggie, Pork..Tagie, and chicken is
dockgogie. (spelling is off...but that is what it sounds like.) We mostly use the pork and marinate it for at least three hours. We use: soy sauce, ginger,
garlic, sesame oil, black pepper, brown sugar(very little) and a dash of OJ, fine chop green onion.

Good stuff!!

Almost twelve hours...even the west coast went to sleep early today...

Thought that I would check in to see if CD left town, he did, and so did Glenn.

Sure wish that I could go camping this weekend. Fall will be here soon!!

Make it a great Saturday everyone. I have another twelve hour day.

Yep, I am in Monterey. The high temperatures have been in the upper sixties. I've been walking around in short sleeve shirts, and grinning from ear-to-ear. People ask where my wear my jacket is, and I tell them where I came from, and where I am going back to.

I got to hang out with several of my customers, I got one of Jay Leno's full-time mechanics into some places he couldn't get into -- well, he's a friend, so I would have done it anyway. He had a 1955 Moto Rumi motorcycle in the concours that he restored in his garage. Jay brought a camera crew over and taped a segment with him at the concours. Nice gesture.

My feet are killing me. I've walked more miles this weekend than Sheepman covered on foot or bike. And, I had to wear nice looking clothes and shoes, which are not meant for high mileage walking.

The Ferrari Daytona Spyder I shot for RM Auctions didn't sell -- it got up to $1.3 million and stalled out. The AC Cobra stalled at $525,000. Not my fault. All the other cars I shot for this weekend sold.

WOOHOO!

My friend John just called, and he got second place in the motorcycle class! We are talking Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance!!! That's like the Supper Bowl of car events.

I'm going to meet him later for a celebratory cigar. We bought some nice cigars last night, and joked that we would smoke them if he won. Well, when a guy restores a bike in his garage, and it gets second place at Pebble Beach, that is a big-time win!!!

Yesterday I got talked into going to a ski mountain.. to do some downhill mountain biking... :o My friend is new to this, but he does have a nice knew downhill bike. He also invited others.. and we had two experienced younger riders there [in their mid 20's]

When I got there I felt like I had shown up to a gun fight with a pen knife.. :o :o

My bike was more rugged, and had more travel than a regular mountain bike, but it was no where near the rigs that they had. I did have a full face helmet, and knee and elbow pads. They also had full compression suits, with shoulder, back and knee protection.

Dave and I headed out for our first run.. while the "kids" were still tinkering with their bikes. We played it safe and hit one of the easiest trails. "This is the easiest trail!!!!" I thought.. wow! I could ride it.. but wow! It was not easy..

It took a while to get used to the narrow tires vs those on my Pugsly.. but things did steadily improve.. and we gradually went on harder and harder trails.

It was not until mid afternoon before I decided to adjust my suspension... it was set up waaay to stiff.. that did help immensely, but I was still quite under biked.

The kids eventually got us out onto a black diamond trail.. :o

Some of this stuff was so rough, rooty and rocky.. that if you had to stop, like if someone had crashed in front of you. It was hard to get going again...

It was a lot of physical work.. I am still trashed this morning.. it was quite difficult and challenging but also a blast :D

Good Day - everybody

Well the Montgomery County Fair is over for this year.. A really nice fair and everyone had a great time.

This week is going to be fabolous. Near perfect weather - highs may get into the mid 80s and night time in the 60. Great sleeping weather.....

Got a friend who is running for the local city council man. Went to his "KICK OFF" Rally - Never been to something like that but I thought it was pretty cool. I hope he wins.

Have a great day and drink some coffee.

Now that is something that I don't understand. Like Glenn - my son is always "Working" on his bike (he just made the bike of his dreams) What could you all be doing to this poor bike??? I don't understand - tweeting this - wrenching that? What is it???

Anyway the sun is arising and the weather is great - Woke to 64F and we will have a sunny - clear blue skies and will be in the 80. But wait!!!!!!!!!
Yes boyz it is hurricane season and we are suppose to feel the effects of the current huricane by the weekend. The evil ones tell us if they tell you to get to higher grounds - we must obey  So will keep you posted....

Have a great day....

Greetings from sunny Florida where we have a tropical storm on the way!!
Perhaps by Thursday we will feel some high winds and the rest of the "stuff"
that comes from a storm like this. We have been through so many that we know the drill well and are prepared. We have a new "bug-out" camper...Ha Ha!! Ketza is ready if needed!!

Make it a great day where you are!!
