It is only 50 this afternoon at the doghouse.

Yesterday's chicken cook went beautifully...

I ate half last night, I'll probably have the other half, tonight. :)

It is supposed to warm back up to 70 tomorrow, so I'll probably fire up a grill or smoker.

Good Morning from Your nation's Capital.

Alert Alert - The Federal Gov't will not be open today untill 11am Yes because of the threat of ICE RAIN the gov't has delayed opening until 11am. I don't know about that - I got in without a issue........ O well - what to do.

joe paterno - what a way to leave. Only a few weeks since he was fired and the scandal over his head. How will the man be remembered? May he rest in peace.... :worship:

Well enjoy your day - our temps are suppose to go up to the high 40F+ So the swing goes from 20+ to 50+ in just a few hours - this is very evil

Enjoy and have fun.

Nice day at the doghouse. Mid sixties for a high. I had HOA duty today. We had a tree service crew out doing maintenance on the neighborhood trees, and I was out to supervise, and protect them from a few of our homeowners who like to complain about everything.

It is going to cloud up tomorrow, and we are supposed to have some heavy rains tomorrow night. Woohoo!

So, I'm going to grill up a nice ribeye steak tonight, while the weather is good. :Flippin Burger:

I had intended to comment on that. I did not know him before the press of the scandal. I don't really follow sports. As one not being involved in the events personally.. it is hard to know all the details or to judge anything...

I do find the timing of it all pretty "weird" and completely agree.. may he rest in peace.. :worship:

Yeah - I agree the timing of his passing and his "Firing" from Penn state is a little weird.

Penn State football was a staple in our house and that was the football team my Dad followed. If Joe was on TV we watched the game - period - no questions no buts.

BTW - got a group coming to refinish my wood floors in the dining , living, and den. 3 coats of poly - new shoe moulding and refinishing the stairs - around $1700 - not a bad price - about $2 a sqft I'll let you know how well they do. Going to take 3days to complete - day to sand and 1st coat poly -2&3 day - 2nd&3rd coat of poly. So the OLE MAN (19yo cat) will have to stay at the vet.

A least the temps will be nice 40-50F+ but rain on Thursday-Friday.

You all have a great day

Enjoy

GOOD DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well the crew arrived this morning @ 8am and started attacking the floors. I would say based on their effort the floors should be all scraped and the first coat of poly should be down before 1pm today. They are flying..............

Outside of that the day is going well and the the young one is coming home for the weekend. Seems his 22nd birthday is this weekend and he plans to make it home before school starts for a visit and some "Home-Cook'n". will be nice to see him and I know his Mom can't wait.

Anyway - the weather here in your Nation's Capital - is holding it's own and the sun is out - rain should hit us later this week and the temps will be in the 40F+ for the rest of the week. I have to remind myself this is January - going on to Feb and the temps are in the 40F to 50F+ - this is strange brew..............

Well - enjoy yourself and have on hell of a day.
