Dearie

Postby Guy » Fri Feb 10, 2006 10:47 am

Dear Gage,

Salutations are simply polite; I use them in place of quoting. I sometimes write "Dear All".

However, I think I will use Dearie from now on since everyone is getting so touch and feelie.

Only 125 a day? Have to see what I can do. Sounds to me that you may need more to read and review.

Have a good day.

I don't worry too much about what is being written. I have good admins that watch that for me.

I have other important things to watch! ;)

Not much on debate myself. Seems that often times the "winners" of debates are those who talk longer, louder, quicker, and dumber. Guess that kind of goes along with what George said about the abusive minority ranting till they get it removed. If they cannot be seen as the authority on the subject, then they try to see to it that nobody else can be either.

Well, having done debate in high school and college, I can say that when it's handled properly, it's much like the active part of a trial in a court -- you give your opening statement, present your evidence, let your opponent do the same, refute with evidence then give your closing statement.

Debate isn't the same as argument, and it's certainly not the same as abuse. People mistake these things for each other all the time, though.[/quote]
