Rocket Stove

Postby Dee Bee » Thu Jul 17, 2008 11:17 am

Since my Wood Gas Stove I thought I'd try a simpler approach and make a rocket stove.

I started with mini-kegs I found on the street, bean cans and a coffee can.

Looks good. So how did it run?

Should I ditch my gasifier, and build one of these instead?

Hi Mike

It works well, but not nearly as fast as my wood gassifier. Over 7 min for a boil. Compareed to 2 min. But there is greater control of cooking temperature. No moving or electrical parts, no batteries required. Simple. Fun project. It has its place in my collection, I'll keep it.

I think everything counts.
"Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." - Mark Twain
"The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift." - Albert Einstein
