Things that don't fit anywhere else...

I spent the weekend in Norman, Oklahoma with my family where we saw our beloved University of Oklahoma Sooners open the football season by SMASHING the N. Texas Eagles 79-10!!

Tomorrow, back to building the Jim Dandy in time for MadJack's B-day party in the swamp.............

I'm not camping. Staying home, with hubby and two sons and one son's girlfriend all gone on a hunting trip in northern Kansas. I've cleaned house, and it has actually stayed clean for two days now!!!!! Today some 'girlfriends' came over for a day of scrapbooking! We had a great time, no kids and no husbands. It was a nice break for all of us!

It's Labor Day Weekend, Not Memorial Day Weekend!

No camping here. Just fixing up the yard and Bar BQing around town at friends homes this weekend.

I miss my little get-away and hope to be camping again later this month.

We will not be camping either. I will be working on my teardrop. I only have about a month and a half to get it finished to go to Amarillo to see our new grandson and then on our way back stop off at Lake Bistineau for LCG. My litttle refrigerator should be in Wednesday. I got it free from Office depot by buying a new fax for the business. :)

We're going in two weeks weather permitting. We miss the crowds this way.

no camping for me this weekend either.

Some mates and me built a garage for a burned out neighbor. A regular barn raising was held. 2 days from cement to shingled roof with windows in a 1,500 square foot garage. 4 car.

I just got in, and with enough time to catch the football game second half !

No camping, but sat saw the Ohio State Buckeyes meet with the Youngstown State Penguins play. Tressel coached YSU for 15 years, and now OSU for 7. Was a good game.
Sunday went to the Canfield fair, 2nd largest county fair in the country, over1,000 food vendors, lots of animals and steam tractors.
Today yard work, to get ready for a wedding next week in Michigan.
Whew, got to get a TD for some relaxing.

Mary, you aren't a dork! You were just getting a head start on next year's Memorial Day holiday posting.

I think i was camping....

I slept in my teardrop, ate food cooked on a campstove or in a dutch oven, and didn't shower for 4 days, so I guess that was camping....

Oh, and there was a gigantic campfire on saturday night!!! :D :D

Doug and Lee would have approved of the tee pee structure the Burningman was raised up on before he burned (both times).

I'm back from Burningman, and stumbling around the house in a fog, trying to get sorted out and cleaned up so i can go to work tomorrow, not to mention cleaning out the Teardrop and all my other camping stuff. This was the worst year at Burningman for wind and dust storms, so there's a lot of cleanup to do.
A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour!

I did some camping.

I also used the shower in the Puffin. My camp buddy and I biked to the showers to see if we wanted to use their facilities or heat some water on the stove and use the camper shower. Well, after viewing the mud, toilet paper, and green stuff (I'm pretty sure some of it was crawling too) on the floor, we showered in the camper.

A raccoon stole some apples from me.

I did some night riding and saw a lot of gators, deer, racoons, and two armadillos.

The food was good, and the company was great. I'm planning on another trip this weekend.
