Things that don't fit anywhere else...

there was a glitch while watching eppy 4. so i missed what happened with frank? is that the bald guy working for cliff and pam? last thing i saw was jr making the deal with him. next scene was that guy breaking the tail light. so something happened in there with cliff and john ross?

but i see where you are saying how fast this thing is moving now. ann shoots the ex, and now we are in trial for his shooting with ALL forensics back. wow, that went fast.

LOL

I saw it. I have to figure that this was the ep that they were filming when he died, which explains why he was only in the one scene. You kind of get the sense that the moments immediately following that (when Bobby is reading JR's IMs) were probably filmed after Hagman died. Duffy looked like he was about to tear up every time he yelled for JR.

Next week is going to be really hard to watch.

yup, that is what i was reading. the last scene with him was when he was learning to use the Ipod/pad. loved that line "honey, i don't need anymore angry birds" LOL
i thought it was really funny when they had jr sending bobby im's. i was laughing and my family asked why. hehehe
i am completely caught up now and can't wait for monday's show. but how sad it will be.
i wished they would have kept frank and the venizualian(sp) real name carlos. i was really starting to love frank, and i have always loved carlos (tony 24).
now sue ellen, i really have never liked her(even on the original), i really still can't stand her. she was used and manipulated back then, and she hasn't learned a thing after all these years, she is still being used and manipulated.

We know he was shot... do we know whether or not he was killed? I may have to watch that again. I have to think that they have something to do with JR dying. They suggested before that it probably wouldn't be from natural causes. So, the current list of likely characters would point to them.

True. This is somewhat a function of Cidre's decision to ignore the two reunion movies. She's still being used by John Ross at this point, but she seems aware of it so it's a bit different than we've seen in the past. We'll have to see what they do with her moving forward.

Did you watch it last night? I was pleasently surprised and sad at the same time.

Yeah. I watched it this morning after I got home from work.

I kind of figured they'd have to combine some snippets from previous episodes with maybe some footage hey hadn't used yet. A number of the audio clips I remembered. The final video snippet of him, though, I didn't remember.

Very sad.

On a side note... man Gary has NOT aged well. I guess Joan Van Arc declined to be a part of the whole thing, unless she shows up briefly next week.

The first time I saw Cliff and JR, it was a shock to see how they had aged. So I think this is the same for Gary. In a little while we will be used to him. :D
I got the feeling while watching last night that JR set this up, and that he knew he was going to be shot. Did you get that at all?
Have you seen the previews for next week?

It certainly had the feel about it that JR knew it was going to happen. The way he was talking to John Ross... as though trying to make sure that he didn't go through the rest of his life thinking he needed to gain JR's approval like he did with Jock.

Now, of course, they were somewhat limited in what they could do, with the available clips they had on hand. But, yeah, it certainly felt that way.

The only previews I've seen for next week were the ones that immediately followed the ep. Haven't seen anything else as of yet.

Have you?

I watched it this morning.

The opening was emotional. I was fine, though, until the funeral. Well, really, from the point when Sue Ellen was in JR's room. Kinda gut wrenching from that point on.

I'm such a wuss, lol.

Really enjoyed the ending, though. And the preview for the rest of the season certainly peaked my interest.

Not quite sure what to make of Emma at this point. The look on her face as though she knew something. Kinda wondering if she might be a plant from Ryland.

The opening got me, and then the final scene with Bobby in JR's room. Sue Ellen just doesn't cut it for me (since I really have never liked her to begin with). I am trying not to read into anything yet. But I got the feeling that the Ewings were finally pulling together as a super power to go after whoever killed JR.
I know most others did not like Cliff coming in, but I loved it. He had to have a part in this, as he was such a big part of JR's life, and I liked it that they kept him in character. Although, I got a feeling that it was a hard part for him to play at that moment, especially when he said he departing words: look who's dancing on who's grave comment.

I would have been disappointed if they hadn't played Cliff Barnes the way they did. I know they've written him a lot darker than he used to be, but I really can't see him being behind this. Try and take advantage of it? Absolutely.

The big question I have is whether or not Pam is returning and, if so, where will she fit into this.

Well, Jesse Metcalffe had hinted of a possible return on his twitter page a couple of weeks ago, but there's been no confirmation as of yet.

With the way things seem strained between Bobby and Ann at the moment, could certainly make things interesting if she came back.
